Lafourche Parish Government received Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding approval to complete a Drainage Master Plan for the entirety of the parish. Lafourche Parish Government followed procurement procedures to hire the services of T. Baker Smith to complete a Drainage Master Plan for this funding, in accordance with state and federal CDBG—Disaster Recovery Program guidelines and regulations. The North Lafourche Levee District is also contributing substantially to this project. T. Baker Smith was chosen as the primary consultant to do the job with three subconsultants - FTN Associates, J. Wayne Plaisance, and Phylway Construction. To learn more about the team on the project, please see Project Team. This website is one component of the Public Outreach portion of this project. Once the existing conditions of the parish drainage are identified, a series of public meetings will be held across the parish to get feedback from the public on drainage issues and concerns across the parish. The public can also email or call in their comments. To find out how to submit comments, go to Contact Us. The project is anticipated to take 18 months.
